A short walk from Ashwellthorpe village church, our brand new centre creates the perfect venue to host your wedding reception.

flexible rooms provide a professional setting for meetings, presentations, off-site strategy sessions and conferences

Meet with like-minded people and pursue shared interests together. Clubs and societies can book one-off events and regular weekly. monthly and/or annual meetings
for functions
You can hire our main hall or any of our meeting rooms for special events including dinners, dances and disco’s. You can even arrange for a local licencee to manage a bar on your behalf
for fairs
Set out your stall (or car boot) and sell your bric-a-brac, jumble, old vinyl, as well as your arts and crafts
for arts & crafts
Our facilities make a great creative space in which to practice and exhibit your painting, photography or other craft.
for dancing
you can dance …, if you want to … I’m waiting! get into the groove and dance to hip-hop, handbag, latin, line, grime, grunge, garage, bhangra, drill, cheese, morris, ballroom, country or western. Whatever bag you’re into, it can happen at Thorpe Hall. 5, 6, 7, 8 ….
for performances
Our main hall makes for a great space in which to rehearse and perform gigs, plays and concerts. So put your band back together and rock-on with your bad selves!
for sport
Anyone for tennis? Use one of our two outdoor courts. Or for a game of badminton, pickleball, or indoor bowls, you can book the main hall.
for parties
host a children’s party in the main hall with lots of space in which to run around, play pass the parcel, show a film, and sit at table for jelly and ice-cream. There’s also a kitchen in which to prepare afternoon tea, and arrange the candles on the birthday cake
for education
It’s never too late to learn a new skill or discover new knowledge. The hall provides a great educational setting for lessons and examinations.
for elections
The community centre will usually function as your local polling station for local, by-, and general elections, and referenda.
